The ASFG Alumni Association holds an annual reunion in Guadalajara at the school. The event happens every year in June! To confirm the information, contact the school and/or Moise Hernandez (011-52-333-817-3004 - when calling from the US)! If you have any vacation time left, be there! The High School Reunion Photos in San Antonio 1999 February 5th - 7th, 1999 Place: Holiday Inn at Market Square, in San Antonio (middle name: Fiesta!), Texas. They came from as far as Kodiak, Alaska, Seattle, Washington, Ashfork, North Carolina, and Guadalajara, Jalisco! All with a single purpose. To connect with old friends never expected to be seen again. To pick up where they left off, some as many as 30 years earlier. It was a chance to say "hello" again, and another chance to say "goodbye" ("hasta la proxima") to those unforgotten kids and teachers who left the American School in Guadalajara so many years ago. It was a chance to be a high school kid again, and to see old friends and teachers. It was a second chance to see old crushes, old girlfriends, and old boyfriends (we're talking old here). More importantly, it was a chance to meet and make new friends who shared an experience few on this earth were privileged to enjoy. Ahhhhhh . . . the American School High School Reunion. It doesn't get much better than this. Thanks to all of the 85 people in attendance! You made us all a little bit happier, and you reminded us of who we are (and how we got this way!). A very special thanks to Laurie White, Allan Castillo, Mark Olsson, Sam Rockwell, Peggy McWood, Nathan Lee, Len Lattanzi, Mark Lawson, Lucie Frost, and Candi Lesh, who organized, planned, hosted, and worked on the reunion. They did a wonderful job! This was the best ASG High School reunion yet! We also want to thank Mr. and Mrs. Moises Hernandez, who came all the way from Guadalajara with a message from Mr. Trent, and with a videotape of the school. Moises risked life and limb to make the video, just to get that special shot of the school from the middle of the street! They also brought jackets, golf shirts, t-shirts and other "recuerdos" from the school. A new feature of this website will soon make them available to all. Send your inquiries to Laurie White for now. If anyone's been left out, someone let us know! Also, someone send us the complete list of attendees! We hope you all had safe trips home. The Dinner and Dance was held at La Margarita, one of San Antonio's best Mexican restaurants. Photos are coming (send them!). This page will be continually updated until all photos are up. Thanks to all of you for making the reunion a magical time. We all want to give a very special thank you to Mark Olsson, who not only took most of the photos at the reunion, he sent them to us for publication, too! Thanks, Mark!
