Miriam Baum pulled off another great reunion in the Arizona desert.  Here are photos of the EA Reunion held on August 8-10, 1997 in Tempe, Arizona.  More photos will be added.  Fifty are published on the ten pages below.    What a great time to be alive!  Keep checking back for updates.

People came from all around to gather once again with old friends.  Some we'd just seen in Ft. Lauderdale four years earlier.  Others we hadn't seen since leaving Rio at the 50th Anniversary in 1987, while still others hadn't been seen since 1965!   It was a special occasion for all, and for many, it was the nicest reunion to date.   But that's a very subjective issue.  A lot of the dinner dance was captured on video.   An effort was made to beam the affair to the Internet, which failed due to thunder storms and an inexperienced crew (me).  People gathered at the pool, sang the school song with the original music, danced the night away, and partied at a local night spot, Tapas Papas Fritas, where they accomodated EA with a real Brazilian band.   We soon learned there would be a price to pay for the fun.  But fun it was.   So much time was spent trying to get the affair online, I think I missed most of it.  There were a lot of people there I wanted to talk to, but I never got the chance.  Next time maybe.

Dr. Brown was there with his wife, along with all of the people you'll see in the photographs.  It was good to see the turnout from the Class of 1970.  Peggy Krause, Don Johnson, John Walter, Beverly Rendall, Suzy Kent, Mary Hernandez, Andy Thornton, and Bruce Stirling were all there.  We missed Rick Bado, Gloria Clegg, and Rick Smith from the Florida reunion.
